As is well known, the Karoo and Kalahari Basins stretch through out several southern African countries and is the host to many high-grade coal seams of Permian age. Although coal mining has been a feature in this region for decades, CBM exploration and development is new.

Working with a number of our Associates, Cipher will provide advice and in the field supervision on all aspects of CBM exploration and development. Our input ranges from assessment of the geology to reservoir character, including well design, fracking and surface facilities.

Interactions with our new client have been as exceptional as it has been professional. As always, our aim is to be client-focused and provide the most up to date and innovative solutions to coal and CBM exploration and development programs.
